Magnitude 4.7 quake hits Cagayan

MANILA, Philippines – A magnitude 4.7 earthquake struck Santa Ana, Cagayan before dawn Tuesday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
Phivolcs said the earthquake occurred at 2:14 a.m. Its epicenter was located 30 kilometers northeast of Santa Ana.
The earthquake was tectonic in origin. It had a depth of 6 kilometers.
No tremor was felt in any part of the province. Likewise, no damage was reported.
Phivolcs said aftershocks are not expected from the earthquake.
