Boy killed in Maguindanao grenade blast
MANILA, Philippines (UPDATE) – A 3-year-old boy was killed and 5 others were injured in an explosion in Barangay Labu-labu, Shariff Aguak in Maguindanao Thursday night.
Police said an unidentified man on board a motorcycle hurled a grenade at the house of Salik Mlah, a former kagawad (councilman) of Barangay Tuayan, Datu Hoffer Ampatuan town.
The grenade landed and exploded on the roof, leaving Mlah’s wife, Salapia, and her 4 children injured. They were all rushed to the Cotabato City Regional and Medical Center.
Salapia’s 3-year-old son Tato Boy Mlah was also brought to the hospital but died while undergoing treatment.
Police said Mlah was in Manila when the incident happened.
