we should condemn such acts towards citizens that are helping build schools for our children, their own children. culprits should be captured immediately and be jailed for what they've done.

Two soldiers of an Army engineer unit assigned to construct school buildings were killed by suspected members of the Abu Sayyaf Group in an attack in Tipo-Tipo town in Basilan on Saturday night.
Col. Michaelo Salvaleon, Army’s 55th Engineer Brigade commander, identified the casualties as TSgt Luciano Abcede and PFC Danny Salian.
The soldiers were involved in the repair and construction of school buildings in Tipo-Tipo Central Elementary School.
Abcede, Salian and another soldier were inspecting the project site when they were fired at by an undetermined number of armed men.
Salvaleon said, it was "too dark to see the enemy who immediately escaped after the attack."
Col. Michaelo Salvaleon, spokesman of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), said the soldiers were not holding their firearms when the incident occurred.
“Noong nangyari iyong pagsalakay na ito, hindi nila hawak iyong mga baril nila dahil naka-focus sila doon sa paggawa ng school buildings,” he said.
Salvaleon assured however that the incident will not deter the military from continuing with its infrastructure and development projects in Basilan.
"The projects are over 95 percent completed and we are already planning to turn them over next week," Salvaleon said.
The 55th Engineer Brigade is tasked to build 13 school buildings in Basilan and over 40 similar projects in Sulu.
