Some 50 armed Communist rebels raided a police station in Agusan del Sur province and escaped with an undetermined number of firearms Wednesday morning.

The Agusan del Sur provincial police office said the rebels raided the Santa Josefa Municipal Police Station at around 9 a.m..

The police office said it has yet to determine how many firearms were carted away by the rebels.
