Police in Bacolod City went on high alert on Thursday after receiving information about the deployment of a New People's Army (NPA) hit squad.
Superintendent Leo Irwin Agpangan, acting Bacolod City police chief, said the intelligence information came with a complete list of possible target of the NPA hit squad.
Agpangan, meanwhile, clarified that there are no businessmen and politicians on the list.
The police commander said police's sightings of an armed group in the circumferential road in the city boost the intelligence information.
He said the suspected members of the NPA hit squad were sighted twice in the area.
Agpangan said all police units in the city have been alerted.
