Female drug pusher busted in Iligan City
MANILA, Philippines – Anti-narcotics agents nabbed a “notorious” female drug pusher operating in Iligan City, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) reported.
Maristela Hermosilla, alias “Tilay,” 40 years old, of Purok 3, Barangay Saray, Iligan City, was apprehended during a buy bust operation.
Hermosilla is listed as No. 5 in the PDEA Provincial Order of Battle.
"Hermosilla had been under the surveillance of PDEA operatives for quite some time now. Based on reports, Hermosilla is unemployed and depends mainly on her illegal drug transactions to earn a living. Selling shabu is her bread and butter,” said PDEA Director General Undersecretary Jose S. Gutierrez, Jr.
Hermosilla agreed to meet with a poseur-buyer on the afternoon of July 4. Authorities swooped down on the suspect after she received the P500 marked money in exchange for one plastic sachet of shabu.
Agents also found in her possession 102 sachets of shabu and assorted drug paraphernalia.
She is now facing violation of the Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
