SURIGAO DEL NORTE, Philippines - A 4.1 magnitude earthquake rocked parts of Surigao del Norte and Surigao del Sur before dawn Saturday.
 
Daphne Agonia, head of the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology in Surigao, said the tremor happened at 2:47 a.m..
 
The quake was traced 57 kilometers east of General Luna, Siargao Island.
 
Intensity 4 was felt in Barangay Hondrado in Socorro and General Luna in Surigao del Norte; Intensity 3 was felt in Cortez, Surigao del Sur; and Intensity 2 in San Agustin and Lanuza in Surigao del Sur and Mainit in Surigao del Norte.
