Cagayan mayor receives bomb threat
MANILA - The Cagayan de Oro City Police Office is now investigating a bomb threat received by Mayor Oscar Moreno.
Police said Moreno was announcing on his radio program last Friday the operations he conducted to clear the Carmen and Cogon markets of sidewalk vendors when he suddenly received a text message saying that two bombs will explode.
Police said they are taking the threat seriously.
Authorities have already beefed up security measures in the city hall where the mayor holds his office. -- Report from Roxanne Arevalo, ABS-CBN News Northern Mindanao
