Two children, identified only as Allen and Adin, both two years old, were found floating in stagnant water brought about by heavy rains in Purok 3, Bgy. Landayan, San Pedro, Laguna at past 2 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.

Neighbors said they last saw the siblings at around 10 in the morning. They were even given spaghetti and were seen at the videoke store.

Johnny Viernesa, who discovered the bodies, said the kids were probably playing in the waist-deep water before the apparent drowning. 

The kids were left in the care of another resident Dang Cabilic on Friday night by their mother.

The mother, identified only as Lynlyn, is reportedly a pimp who usually leaves her kids in the house of Cabilic or even other neighbors while she works.

Their father is in jail, according to residents.

Cabilic was out of the house when the incident happened. She left word with the children’s mother that she could not attend to them, especially in the morning, because of work. Her house is just a few meters away from where the incident happened.
 
San Pedro policemen, however, are investigating if  foul play was involved.
