MANILA, Philippines - Twelve police officers from Mangaldan, Pangasanan, including their police chief, were relieved from their posts after they were accused of hiring prostitutes and having sex with them inside a police station.

Reports reaching Camp Crame said Police Superintendent Roberto Vocal and 11 other policemen hired the prostitutes to dance and "service" them inside the police station. The 12 are currently facing pre-charge investigation and summary hearing proceedings.

Investigators said the 12 could face outright dismissal and other penalties if they are found guilty of violating the Philippine National Police Code of Conduct.
