PDEA arrests 2 drug pushers in Iloilo
MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested two women for allegedly pushing drugs in Barangay Balantian, town of Balasan, Iloilo last week.
Agents of PDEA raided the house of Janita Gallo and Jenelyn Gallo-Dequito after learning that they were involved in drug pushing within the area.
Both Janita and Jenelyn admitted they are into selling shabu but they insisted that they do not have any supply of the illegal drugs when the PDEA agents arrived.
PDEA, however, revealed that they were able to recover four sachets of shabu inside the suspects’ house.
The Philippine National Police (PNP) has launched consecutive anti-illegal drug operations in Balasan over reports of prevalent drug pushing in the area.
The PNP are still conducting an investigation to determine which drug syndicate is behind the small time drug pushers in Balasan.
Meanwhile, both Janita and Jenelyn said they regret getting into that “business.” – from a report by Joyce Clavecillas, ABS-CBN News Iloilo
