MANILA - A raid at a warehouse in Mabolo, Naga City on Monday yielded hundreds of sacks of National Food Authority (NFA) rice repacked as commercial rice.
NFA and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) personnel raided the warehouse of the JY Brothers Corporation and discovered about 500 sacks of repacked NFA rice.
A security guard confronted the raiding team but was immediately disarmed.
An employee also claimed that the corporation has legitimate transactions with the NFA, something which the agency's provincial director, Edna De Guzman, denied.
The NFA said five rice retailers who have transactions with JY Brothers will be stripped of their license. - ANC
