MANILA, Philippines – Hold-up men shot dead a policeman during a bus heist in Davao City, Wednesday night.

Police investigators said 6 armed men flagged down the Rural Transit Bus with body number 2326 on a highway in Barangay Tamugan, Marilog District around 8 p.m..

Police said one of the suspects fired at Senior Police Officer 1 Renie Panganiban upon seeing the policeman, who was wearing his uniform.

After killing Panganiban, the gunmen held the passengers at gunpoint and took their money and cellular phones.
