MANILA, Philippines - Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on Thursday morning discovered a marijuana plantation in Kiblawan, Davao del Sur.
The PDEA said more than fully-grown marijuana plants were uprooted from the plantation in Sitio Datal Aliong, Barangay Kimlawis.
Its agents said the marijuana plants are almost 8-month-old and are ready for harvest.
The plants were immediately burned by the agents.
The PDEA said that with the help of the local police and military, they will continue to scour the far-flung barangays of Kiblawan town.
The PDEA said they have information that the supply marijuana being sold around the province came from Kiblawan. -- Report from Rodirey Salas, ABS-CBN Southern Mindanao
