The Air Transportation Office (ATO) at the new Bacolod Silay Airport in Silay City, Negros Occidental is seeking the help of the Philippine National Police to investigate  the loss of P240,000 in terminal fees collected at the new airport.

ATO officials said they discovered the theft on Monday when they were about to deposit the money to the bank.  The P240,000 cash was the sum total of collections for Saturday.

The PNP and the ATO said there is no evidence of forced entry where the money was kept over the weekend. ATO Manager Antonio Alfonso said personnel on duty last Saturday will be questioned first.
