13 miners trapped in mud in Benguet province - RDCC

Thirteen miners were reported by the Regional Disaster Coordinating Council (RDCC) to have been trapped inside a mine Monday evening.
 
The report said the miners were trapped at Level 700, Benguet Mining Corporation in Purok 7, Gold Field, Poblacion in Itogon Town in Benguet province 7:30 p.m. Monday.
 
The mine’s portal was reported to be blocked by mud.
 
The report contained an initial list of nine persons who were reported trapped. They were identified as: Joel Bulga, Gilbert Mattin, Rudy Bolling, Marvin Hinayod, Jojo Hinayod, Robert Buay, Juan Hinayod,  Rudy Hinayod, Vencent Hinayod, Joseph Anayasan and Mario Anayasan.
 
The trapped miners were reported to be private miners of a Weber Layaban.
