MANILA, Philippines - A police tracker team has caught up on another suspect in the gruesome murder of 57 people in Ampatuan, Maguindanao last year.

Police arrest of 19-year-old Mohadis Ampatuan at the Shariff Aguak Central Elementary School, where the suspect was employed as a canteen worker, around 1 p.m. Monday.

Senior Superintendent Pedro Austria Jr., chief of the ARMM regional police's Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, said Ampatuan was traced by police through continuous intelligence gathering.

Ampatuan admitted that he was a member of former ARMM governor Zaldy Ampatuan's Civilian Volunteer Organization (CVO), but denied that he had a hand in the massacre.

The former governor has been arrested and charged for his alleged participation in the massacre last November 23, 2009.

Other members of the Ampatuan clan have been tagged as main players in the massacre, including its patriarch, Andal Ampatuan Sr.

Ampatuan Sr.'s namesake, former Datu Unsay town mayor Andal Ampatuan Jr., was tagged as principal suspect in the massacre. -- reports from Ellen Manipon, ABS-CBN General Santos and Leila Vicente, ABS-CBN Zamboanga
