PAGASA monitoring LPA near Visayas
MANILA -- State weather bureau PAGASA is monitoring a low pressure area (LPA) last spotted 710 kilometers east of Visayas.
PAGASA said the LPA may develop into a tropical depression within two to three days.
If it does, it will be named "Quedan."
Meanwhile, weather forecaster Fernando Cada said although tropical depression "Paolo" has already left the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR), the southwest monsoon (habagat) will continue to affect the country.
Metro Manila, CALABARZON, Bicol region, Eastern Visayas, CARAGA, Davao region, and the provinces of Zambales, Bataan, Mindoro and Palawan will experience light to moderate rains and thunderstorms.
The rest of the country, meanwhile, will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rains or thunderstorms. -- With dzMM
