LPA east of Samar now tropical depression 'Quedan'
MANILA – The low pressure area the state weather bureau is monitoring off Eastern Samar has developed into a tropical depression.
In a bulletin issued 5 p.m. Sunday, PAGASA said the center of “Quedan” was spotted at 900 kilometers east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar.
It has maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour near the center and it is forecast to move north northeast at 7 kilometers per hour.
No public storm warning signal was raised since Quedan will not yet directly affect any part of the country.
Despite this, PAGASA said Palawan, Eastern Visayas and Mindanao will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rain showers and thunderstorms.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country, on the other hand, will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
