'Quedan' gains strength; no signals raised
MANILA – Tropical storm "Quedan" gained strength as it moved closer to extreme northern Luzon, PAGASA said Tuesday.
In its 11 p.m. bulletin, the weather bureau said the storm is now carrying maximum winds of 85 kilometers per hour (kph) and gust winds of 100 kph.
It was last spotted 840 kilometers east of Casiguran, Aurora.
No storm warning signals have been raised so far. PAGASA said the storm is not expected to affect any part of the country.
