The Department of Education (DepEd) on Sunday announced that classes in Cagayan province including Tuguegarao City, areas of Isabela province and Quirino province on Monday are suspended due to damage by Typhoon “Pepeng.”

“Cagayan, Tuguegarao City and Quirino are suspending classes tomorrow but teachers and principals will report to fix classrooms,” said an advisory of DepEd Director Benito Tumamao forwarded by Kenneth Tirado of DepEd’s public information office.

The advisory also said: “Isabela classes will be suspended only on selected districts - including San Pablo, Cabagan, Tumauini, Sto. Tomas, and Delfin Albano.”

All other divisions will still hold classes, said the advisory.

The advisory also said that the areas where classes are suspended currently have no electricity except for Quirino.
