TRENTO, Agusan del Sur - Suspected New People's Army guerrilas attacked elements of 36 Infantry Battalion Alpha Company in Barangay Ignacio, Trento, Agusan del Sur Saturday morning, wounding four soldiers.

Initial reports said some 30 armed rebels belonging to NPA Front Committee 20 attacked the soldiers at 11:40 a.m.

Wounded in the firefight were Private First Class Bading, PFC Annie, PFC Gamuyot and Pvt Mabanto. The four were later brought to the nearest hospital for treatment.
