MANILA, Philippines – Tropical storm “Marce” has left the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and is headed for Vietnam, the weather bureau said.
In its 11 p.m. weather bulletin on Friday, PAGASA said the storm was last seen 510 kilometers west of Subic, Zambales.
It was spotted moving west at a speed of 13 kilometers per hour (kph).
The storm weakened as it traveled over the West Philippine Sea, carrying maximum sustained winds of 65 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph.
Marce, the 13th tropical cyclone to enter PAR this year, threatened Zambales and Bataan, but it did not make landfall.
PAGASA earlier said rains were expected across the country over the weekend, but later said it expected the weather to improve late Sunday.
