'Quedan' exits PH, heads for Japan
MANILA – Typhoon “Quedan” has left the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and was seen moving towards Japan, PAGASA said Saturday.
As of 4 p.m., PAGASA said the typhoon moved closer towards southern Japan and was spotted 610 kilometers northeast of Itbayat, Batanes.
Quedan intensified into a typhoon before it left PAR, packing winds of 150 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 185 kph.
Quedan was the 17th tropical cyclone to enter PAR this year.
