No shoot to kill order vs Misuari - Palace
MANILA - Malacañang on Monday said it has not issued a shoot-to-kill order against Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) founding chairman Nur Misuari for allegedly backing a siege in Zamboanga City.
Presidential Spokesperson Edwin Lacierda said "shoot to kill" orders are prohibited.
He also said government is not yet sure what will be the circumstances for Misuari's arrest. He said Misuari will be arrested if he will come peacefully.
"Hindi ho siya nag iisa eh. We don't know what will happen. If we find him, we will arrest him kung walang resistance," he said.
Misuari is facing rebellion charges after his faction of the MNLF led an armed conflict against the government in parts of Zamboanga City.
Misuari is supposedly holed up in Sulu.
