11 Koreans hospitalized due to food poisoning
MANILA – At least 11 Korean nationals in Iloilo City were rushed to the hospital on Wednesday due to alleged food poisoning.
The Korean nationals, who stayed at the The Castle Hotel in Iloilo City, complained of stomach pain, one of the symptoms of food poisoning.
Ten of the 11 Koreans, students of Jinsoo Foreign Language Institute, Inc., were identified as Kim Yeo-jin, Kim Urim, Lee Jeong-hoon, Yu Guk-hwa, Kyung Mo-kim, Kim Sang-kyu, Lee Tae-jung, Shin Woo-joo, Han Jeong-won, Chung Hyon-jin.
Several Department of Health (DOH) officials arrived at the hospital to conduct an investigation into the alleged food poisoning.
A Jinsoo English tutor said samples from the last meal that the Korean students ate have already been submitted to authorities. – report from Bea Zaragosa, ABS-CNN News Iloilo
