Lightning kills local tourist in Batangas

A local tourist died after being struck by lightning while swimming in Nasugbu town in Batangas province, police said Tuesday.
Superintendent Jesus Gatchalian, Batangas provincial police director, identified the victim as Alejandro Espinocilla, 28, of Sta. Monica, Novaliches, Quezon City.
Espinocilla was swimming with his family at the beach front of Manangkil Beach Resort in Barangay Wawa when the lightning struck.
Gatchalian said Espinocilla was rushed to Nasugbu Doctors' General Hospital, but was declared dead on arrival.
