Zambo Sur gov: Abducted Irish priest needs his medicines

The top Zamboanga del Sur official is calling on the abductors of Father Michael Sinnott to allow the delivery of medicines that the Irish priest needs.

In a voice message, Zamboanga del Sur Gov. Aurora Cerilles appealed to Sinnott's abductors to advise the Crisis Management Committee where they can send the medicines that the 79-year old priest is supposed to be taking daily. Sinnot reportedly had just recently underwent a heart bypass operation.

Sinnott was abducted by 6 armed men in the Columban house in Gatas District of Pagadian City on October 11. Authorities have earlier released artist's sketches of 3 of the 6 suspects and much later, computer-generated pictures of the suspects.

The military said they suspect Sinnott was brought by his captors to Lanao area.

The Interior and Local Government department has created Task Force Zebra led by Director Felizardo Serapio,Jr. Directorate for Integrated Police Operations chief for Western Mindanao.

Authorities aid no communication has yet been established with the priest's abductors. By Queenie Casimiro, ABS-CBN News Zamboanga
