26 hurt in Camarines Norte road mishap
MANILA – At least 26 people were injured in a bus accident in Camarines Norte on Monday morning.
A Superlines bus rammed a coconut tree along a highway in Barangay Canapawan in Labo town at around 5 a.m. yesterday.
Bus driver Rochel Sogoni said the bus hit the tree after she avoided a speeding car.
Sogoni said she lost control of the bus because of the slippery road.
At least 26 passengers were brought to the hospital due to slight injuries.
The bus originated from Cubao, Quezon and was headed for Daet, Camarines Norte.
Superlines is the same bus firm whose unit figured in an accident in Atimonan, Quezon last Saturday which left 20 dead.
The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has since suspended all 35 units of Superlines. – report from Rizza Mostar, ABS-CBN News
