Magnitude 5.3 quake hits S. Cotabato

A magnitude 5.3 earthquake shook South Cotabato Tuesday morning but left no casualties or damage to property.
A report from the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the tectonic quake struck at 8:06 a.m.
The quake was felt at Intensity 4 in Koronadal City, South Cotabato; Intensity 3 in Norala, Bagumbayan and Tampakan, South Cotabato; Kabacan, North Cotabato and Bagumbayan, Sultan Kudarat.
The quake was felt at Intensity 2 in General Santos City and Matalam, North Cotabato.
Disaster officials said they are monitoring Norala municipality for possible aftershocks after an Intensity 4 quake left an estimated P4-million worth of damage to property.
