A couple was believed abducted by alleged Philippine Army intelligence operatives in Labrador town in Pangasinan province last week.

The couple's son, Jomar Nabia told ABS-CBN Dagupan that his parents were taken by alleged members of the Philippine Army from their home last October 23.

"Sinigawan kami, sabi baba, tapos dapa! Pilit isinakay sina Papa at Mama (They ordered us to go down, and my father and mother were forced into a vehicle)," Nabia said.

According to Labrador police's blotter, the couple was taken by agents of the Army's Intelligence Service Unit (ISU)

The police blotter said a certain Sgt. Ralph Padilla of the Army's ISU brought to the police station the belongings of the couple.

The intelligence agent alleged that the couple was suspected members of the New People's Army (NPA), the police said.

"Sabi hawak daw nila ang Mama at Papa ko. Huwag daw akong mag-alala dahil makikita ko rin sila (They said they have my parents. They (Philippine Army) told me not to worry, I will be seeing my parents again)," Nabia said.

The Labrador police, however, don’t know where the Nabia couple was brought.

The Northern Luzon Command, meanwhile, told ABS-CBN Dagupan in a phone interview that there is no Sgt. Ralph Padilla on its roster and it has no records about the Nabia couple's arrest.

The couple's son has asked the police and some groups to help him locate his parents. -- JOANNA TACASON, ABS-CBN Dagupan
