(UPDATE) 3 INC members killed in Cavite accident

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna—Three members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) were killed when their motorcycle they were riding slammed into a tourist bus early Thursday morning in Bacoor Cavite, police said.

Senior Superintendent Alfred Corpuz, Cavite police director identified the fatalities as Jayrone Greg Perez, 14, his cousin Lea Patricia San Miguel, 18, and, Jimboy Aguila, 22, all residents of Barangay Panapaan, Bacoor, Cavite

Perez and San Miguel died on the spot, while Aguila died while being treated at St. Dominic Hospital.

According to report, the victims were riding on a motorcycle and travelling along the Tirona Highway in Barangay Habay when the accident took place at around 5:45 a.m.

Police said the three, who were about to attend a church service, allegedly tried to overtake a jeepney but was sideswiped by the bus on the opposite lane.

The bus driver, identified as Cesar Guadalupe, surrendered to the Bacoor police and remains in custody while the filing of appropriate charges against him is being readied.
