Patient holds nurse hostage in Camarines Norte hospital

A medical patient held a nurse hostage in a hospital in Daet, Camarines Norte Sunday night.
The hostage-taking incident occurred at Sto. Niño Hospital about 6 p.m.
53-year-old Samuel Cena grabbed nurse Jonalyn Tansiongo and held her hostage with a kitchen knife, reportedly, for no apparent reason. Cena was described as separated, jobless and a resident of Jose Panganiban town in Camarines Norte.
Cena has been confined at the hospital for three days due to heart pain.
Senior Inspector Pio Rafer of police’s reaction team responded and immediately cordoned off the area.
After 45 minutes of negotiations Ccena peacefully surrendered to the police. He was brought to Daet police station for investigation.
Meanwhile, Tansiongco, who suffered a minor knife injury on her left palm, was immediately treated. Gerard Lorbes, ABS-CBN Naga
