Gunmen kidnapped a local businessman in Mulondo town, Lanao del Sur province, police said Wednesday.

Police said Sambolayan Macapanton, 29, was kidnapped around 7 p.m. on Monday while on board his multicab on Mulondo national road.

Police said at least 15 gunmen, led by a certain Jamal Pangandag, took the businessman.

Authorities have yet to determine the motive in the kidnapping. -- Report from ABS-CBN Iligan
