Another tremor rocks Caraga

Another quake was felt early evening Thursday in Caraga region after a tremor hit the area Wednesday.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) station in Region 10 said the tremor occurred 6:53 p.m. . The quake’s epicenter was located 9.33 degrees north, 125.4 degrees east, 15 kilometers south and 85 kilometers west of Jabonga in Agusan del Norte.

Phivolcs said the strength of the quake was measured at Magnitute 4.4 and with a depth of 1 kilometer.

The quake was felt at Intensity 3 in Butuan City and Intensity 2 at Jabonga and Santiago towns in Agusan del Norte.

An earthquake had also rocked Butuan and Surigao cities Wednesday morning.

The earlier tremor struck at 6:28 a.m. and was felt at Intensity 3 in Butuan City and Surigao City. Phivolcs-Surigao Head Daphne Agonia said the earthquake was tectonic in origin. From report of Trinidad Velasco, ABS-CBN News Caraga

It was the most violent and damaging of the three that occurred in the last two days.
