A flash flood hit parts of Crossing Awas, Palkan village in Polomok, South Cotabato province late Monday due to heavy rains.

Floods affected several houses in the village and caused traffic on the highway. Several crowns of pineapple from the local Dole plantation and trees near a creek were also swept away by the flood.

Dole Philippines and the local government used a bulldozer to clear away debris from the highway.
