4 drug pushers in Bicol, Cebu nabbed
MANILA, Philippines -- The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested four suspected drug pushers in its buy-bust operations in Bicol and Cebu on Thursday, an official said in a statement.
PDEA Director General Undersecretary Arturo Cacdac Jr. on Saturday identified the suspects from Camarines Norte as Marilyn "Cindy" Miranda, her live-in partner Riezel "Boto" Calpo and Jesus "Bong" Concepcion.
The drug pusher from Danao City was identified as Marivic Tabla.
The four were included in the PDEA's target list of drug personalities.
Miranda, Calpo and Concepcion were arrested by the PDEA Camarines Norte Provincial Office after they were served with a search warrant in their house in Barangay 4, Daet at 4:30 a.m.
Seized from the suspects were 26 plastic sachets of shabu and assorted drug paraphernalia.
Meanwhile, Tabla was arrested by the PDEA Regional Office 7 after selling 2.5 grams of shabu worth P3,000 to a PDEA poseur-buyer near her house in Barangay Suba at around 7 p.m.
Tabla's husband, Jesus, who is now detained at Danao City Jail, was also a notorious drug pusher in the region.
All four suspects are facing charges for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
