Four die in Pampanga SCTEx accident

Two Army soldiers and two civilians were killed in a road crash in Porac town in Pampanga province, Tuesday night.
Police identified the fatalities as Privates First Class (PFCs) Mayolito Calaquian and Jason Fajardo, Apolinario Bernabe and Maria Teresita Bernabe.
The foud died after a Mitsubishi Outlander and an Army truck collided along the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEx) in Barangay Manuali around 7 p.m.
Calaquian and the two civilians died after the collision while Fajardo died while being treated at St. Raphael Hospital in Mabalacat town.
Two other passengers of the Army truck PFCs Lorenzo Gazzingan and Alex Franco were hurt in the crash.
Gazzingan told police that they were speeding along SCTEx when their truck was hit by the Outlander from the back.
He said their driver lost control of the wheels and the truck turned turtle after the collission.
Grant John Mutuc, SCTEx investigator, said they have yet to determine the cause of the accident. -- Gracie Rutao, ABS-CBN Pampanga
