BAGUIO CITY - Susan Sanidad’s home at Barangay P. Burgos appears to be a “Garden of Santas,” which serves as a counterpart to the infamous garden of Eden.

Visitors stand amazed at her garden collection. A variety of Santa Claus figures can be seen such as her ‘climbing Santa,’ ‘Tarzan Santa,’ and ‘lover-boy Santa.’ Guests also admire her ‘best friends Santa’ and ‘sleeping Santa.’ Her ‘star’ and ‘moon Santa’ were recently added to the collecton.

However, most intriguing of all is her five-foot tall Santa overseeing the entire garden.

“I started collecting these for almost 10 years now. I did it gradually throughout the years, until they all finally piled up,” said Susan Fianza Sanidad.

All in all, her Santa collections add up to 300, all of which are unique and different from each other.

Two of her mechanical Santas even sing and dance to the tune of "Jingle Bells" and "Santa Claus is coming to town."  Her Christmas village and Santa community add up to the warmth of her guest area.

“I’ll still continue to do this. I don’t know if I’ll have enough room for more, but I’ll still collect for the sake of my children and grandchildren,” said Susan.

Yet the best attraction comes at night, when her garden transforms into a silent yet scenic attraction with the help of her Christmas garden lights, especially over the artificial fountain guarded by a Santa.

More Christmas Santas wait to be discovered and to be added to Susan’s garden of Santas.
