Camarines Norte town under state of calamity

A town in Camarines Norte has been placed under a state of calamity as floods hit a large number of communities in the province.
The National Disaster Coordinating Council (NDCC) said San Vicente town have been placed under a state of calamity. The town was submerged in floodwaters caused by continuous raining since Saturday.
The NDCC said a total of 9,000 families or 38,800 residents of 114 villages in nine towns of Camarines Norte have been affected by the floods.
The agency said 3,000 families have been brought to 40 evacuation centers around the province.
A radio dzMM report said local government officials are contemplating of placing the towns of Mercedes, Daet, Vinzons and Labo under a partial state of calamity.
Meanwhile, reports said two fishermen were killed after their boat was hit by strong waves in the province.
