'Marcoses afraid of Aquino win in 2010'

MANILA, Philippines - The Marcoses family are running scared and are seeking top government positions to get immunity in case Sen. Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III wins next year's presidential election, Ilocos Norte Gov. Michael Marcos-Keon said Friday.

In an interview, Marcos-Keon said an Aquino win next year could open up a can of worms for the former First Family especially since the Aquinos have long believed that it was former strongman Ferdinand Marcos who ordered the assassination of Aquino's father, Sen. Ninoy Aquino, in 1983.

He said this was the reason behind the sudden filing of candidacies of former First Lady Imelda Marcos for congressman, Bongbong Marcos for senator and Imee Marcos for governor.

The former First Lady will be taking on Marcos ally Mariano Nalupta in next year's congressional race while Imee will take on Marcos-Keon.

Bongbong, meanwhile, said he is aiming to follow his father's footsteps and become president of the Philippines some day. "I would like to take this political career that I have embarked upon as far as it can go. The ultimate position is to be president," Marcos told reporters.

Media Circus

What's the news behind this media web page and related links.....a family incumbent go against it's own family game playing around the common family clan politics...a family trying to revived their own kind while now, there is the Ampatuan's Legacy going on....what a waste of reading.....to the author are you a Marcoses or Ampatuans....These people were in our worst history book...the more credit you gave them the more they feel they are worth for something...the more you write about them the more they become credible.........or are you trying to give credit from the other side of the family to take revenge.......huh???????.......just can't help myself to comment on this worthless topics......

Bongbong for President!

That would be nice! We'll have another Marcos history-in-the-making!

Perhaps once Bongbong "becomes the President of the Republic of the Philippines" he could then honor his dad, a dictator, a corrupt leader, etc., at the Libingan ng Mga "Bayani"!

Why not? Erap attempted too, so Bongbong could attempt likewise.

What a hero!

WTF

CAN'T HELP TO CURSE AND DAMN THE PINOYS!!! MARCOS WAS DRIVEN AND OUT OF POWER!!! BUT DID THE VICTIMS OF MARCOS GOT THE JUSTICE THEY DESERVED? DID THE MARCOSES WERE PUNISHED? WTF!!!PINOYS WAKE-UP!!!

In addition

In addition, it is a mindset and traditionally rooted that the incumbent feels entitled that it's a privileged to hold an office, not as a public servant but as to be served and protected behind their titles. Pitiful!

To break this traditional thinking, we need to inform.

*shaking head*

First of all, what are the reprocations that could emerge to a dead President. I'm not understanding the logic within this thought.

Second....

He said this was the reason behind the sudden filing of candidacies of former First Lady Imelda Marcos for congressman, Bongbong Marcos for senator and Imee Marcos for governor.

Are these people out of their mind---WTF over?
