MANILA – Bernabeth Lacaden is still searching for her 3-year-old nephew, Tarin Bindo Sustento, who has gone missing during a storm surge in Tacloban City when super typhoon Yolanda struck.

Other survivors said Sustento, who was diagnosed with mild autism, was last spotted with his mother, Geo Sustento, on November 8.

Sustento was said to be wearing an orange life vest which other storm victims gave him before the storm surge.

His mother, father and grandmother were killed in the typhoon.

According to Lacaden, there is a possibility that her nephew is still alive.

“May posibilidad na buhay pa [ang pamangkin ko dahil] mayroon kasing mga nakakita sa kanya noong storm surge at nakasuot naman siya ng orange life vest,” said
Lacaden in a phone interview with ABS-CBNNews.com.

She visited the place where the body of her nephew’s mother was found but did not find anything.

Lacaden is currently seeking the help of everyone who may have seen Sustento after the storm surge.

He stands at around 3 feet and has a mole on his right chest.
