Moderate quake shakes Kalinga-Apayao: seismologists

MANILA, Philippines - A moderate 5.1-magnitude quake hit Tabuk City in Kalinga-Apayao early Tuesday but caused no injuries or damage to property.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake struck at 3:59 a.m. and was tectonic in origin. The quake was felt at Intensity 3 in Bagui City, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan and the Callao Caves.
It was felt at Intensity 2 in Laoag City and Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte.
Phivolcs said it does not expect any aftershocks.
