Quake jolts Davao Oriental

MANILA, Philippines – A magnitude 5.4 earthquake struck Davao Oriental, Saturday afternoon, radio dzMM reported.

Nani Danlag of the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) in General Santos City said the quake occurred at 1:09 p.m.

The quake's epicenter was located 54 kilometers northeast of Mati, Davao Oriental.

Intensity 2 was felt in Davao City. while intensity 1 was recorded in General Santos City.

Meanwhile, another tremor reportedly occurred in General Santos City around 3 p.m.

However, Phivolcs has yet to release information about the second quake. Dexter Ganibe, radio dzMM correspondent
