MANILA, Philippines (3rd UPDATE) – At least 5 people were hurt in a bus explosion in the town of Isulan, Sultan Kudarat Saturday afternoon, police said.

The wounded individuals sustained minor injuries.

Initial investigations showed that a Husky Bus headed for Tacurong exploded along the national highway at around 5 p.m.

Authorities have yet to determine if an improvised explosive device (IED) was used in the incident.

Investigations are still ongoing.
