Ferry runs aground in Marinduque

MANILA, Philippines - A ferry vessel ran aground after being battered by strong waves in the waters of Sta. Cruz town in the island province of Marinduque before dawn Thursday.
Coast Guard authorities said ferry vessel "Torejas" was sailing off Sta. Cruz when it was battered by big waves and pushed to Burabod Port around 2 a.m.
Authorities said the ferry vessel's 223 passengers were not hurt despite the vessel's ordeal while at sea.
The ferry vessel was fetched by its sistership, MV Vanessa and brought to its point of destination. With a report from Sarita Kare, ABS-CBN Southern Tagalog
