BRUSSELS, Belgium - Just like their great faith in God, members of Jesus is Lord (JIL) Ministry believe that only Brother Eddie Villanueva can change the country’s present situation.

They admitted being supportive of Villanueva’s candidacy, and pointed out that they started campaigning for the televangelist as soon as he announced his intentions to serve his countrymen.

Despite the polls done by Social Weather Stations and Pulse Asia showing Villanueva trailing behind other presidentiables, JIL members are confident that in the end, people shall choose a God-fearing candidate.

They are also convinced that Villanueva will serve the Filipinos the way he serves God.

But while JIL remains united, El Shaddai St. Remi chapter seems to be divided. Some have been very vocal in supporting Senators Manuel “Manny” Villar and Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III, and Sec. Gilbert “Gibo” Teodoro whom they consider as non-traditional politicians.

On the other hand, Couples For Christ and Pag-ibig Sa Diyos Catholic Community both agreed that they will not endorse any candidate. According to them, it is the right of every Filipino to choose their rightful leader.

Meanwhile, the Filipino chaplaincy in Brussels reminded Pinoys around the world that while the country needs a leader who has the capacity and the will to serve his people, it is also vital to choose someone who is God-fearing and supports the teachings of the Catholic Church.

Fr. Raymund Gaspar.

M."Bi" Villar Bares All

One morning, M.”Bi” Villar rushes to a nearby church, panting and trying to catch his breath. Finally, he sits next to the confession booth and talks to the priest, hidden behind a wooden panel.

M.”Bi”: Bless me Father, for I have sinned. My last confession was…

Priest: Just get to the point. You sound like you are very distressed. What’s up?

M.”Bi”: I just came from a bank.

Priest: And so?

M.”Bi”: I tried to pay off all the debts of Hacienda Luisita.

Priest: How charitable of you my son. God’s grace be upon you for thinking about all those poor farmers who might inherit a huge debt for bank-owned property.

M.”Bi”: Actually, the bank manager refused to accept my full payment.

Priest: Huh? How come?

M.”Bi”: Gay Gibo suddenly appeared out of nowhere and told the manager that I was there to pay off HL debt so that I could claim that his cousin is the true owner of the property, not the bank.

Priest: And is that true?

M.”Bi”: I’m afraid so, Father.

Priest: Well, you can ask for forgiveness by attending the next “Jesus is Lord” rally, and ask the Lord to redeem you from repressed “homosexuality.”

M.”Bi”: Huh? What are you talking about? Who are you?

So M.”Bi” suddenly opens the wooden panel hiding the priest and sees Brother Eddie.

Brother Eddie: Sino pa! Eddie ako! (Who else but myself! Brother Eddie!)

M.”Bi”: What are you doing here? You're not Catholic.

Brother Eddie: I converted.
