Two more Filipinos working as nurses in a hospital in Saudi Arabia tested positive for A(H1N1) virus.

This brings the total number of people infected with the virus in Saudi Arabia to 45. Of the total, five are Filipino women employed as nurses in the country.

The two Filipinos allegedly got the virus from the hospital’s patients who were already infected by it.

Saudi Arabia reported its first case of A(H1N1) after a Filipina nurse working at the King Faisal Specialist Hospital tested positive for virus.

Balitang Middle East confirmed last week from Dr. Abdullah Al-Hokail, King Faisal Hospital’s consultant on infectious disease and medical director of the infection control and environmental health that the first infected Filipina nurse has recovered and already returned to work.

The doctor also mentioned that the second nurse who was confirmed to have the virus is also back working at the hospital.

The Arab News, meanwhile, reported that the third Filipina nurse in Jubail is on her way to recovery. The nurse was tested positive for the virus seven days after returning from her vacation in the Philippines.
