About a hundred Filipino overseas workers benefited from a medical and dental mission in Doha, Qatar.
The Filipino Nurses Association with the Filipino Dental Volunteers in Qatar conducted the mission to help kababayans based in Doha.
“We are participating in the medical mission where we can be of help to the workers,” said nurse in charge Jane Lam.
The group said the mission aimed to give free medical and dental check up services to Filipinos. It was learned that the group organizes the event 12 times a year.
“Maio-offer lang namin as of now is in the blood sugar and the blood pressure. We also have the dental mission,” said Lam.
Most the OFWs who availed of the free services were reportedly suffering from hypertension, diabetes and flu. Report from Kimina Castro, ABS-CBN Middle East News Bureau correspondent, Doha
