Brit fans hold impromptu memorial service for Jackson
Fans of the late pop icon Michael Jackson held an impromptu memorial service for the King of Pop in Leicester Square in London.
The tribute was conducted while the solemn memorial service was held at the Staples Center in the US.
The Lyric Theater in London has become the semi-official shrine for British fans who continue to flock and offer flowers and souvenir items to Jackson.
The entire wall of the theater had been engulfed with Jackson memorabilia.
The theater is currently showing the West End musicale, "Thriller live" which principally highlights the music of Jackson and the Jackson 5.
A larger event is planned at 02 Arena next Monday, July 13, which would have been the date of Jackson’s first London comeback concert. Report from Danny Buenafe, ABS-CBN Europe News Bureau, London
